I used to have the same reaction when the subject of “God” was in front of me (either through reading, or even speaking with people in person). I was raised Christian, however the denomination changed throughout my formative years. Each time it changed, I was exposed to different ‘man made rules’ according to their beliefs according to that specific religion. I was always baffled on why some things were true with one, and not with another. It made me question everything. I have always been curious about all religions, and as you start to study them, then have so many similarities. They have so many shared stories across cultures and time; the names and places might change, but the core parts of the stories are very similar. I guess that through my journey, my perspective on religion has shifted. I now accept that all may be true, or none of it is true, or it is something in between.

By the sounds of it, it appears that we approach religion in the same way. I am very curious to learn about all religions as I do feel that there is always something that I can take away from it, things to absorb and perspectives to change. It’s like it is all pieces to a puzzle, and until you understand all of them, you can’t see the bigger picture.
